Muzzle brake can be used on all Czech Small Arms vz. 58 rifles that utilize new production German manufactured Lothar Walther barrels.

All D-Technik rifles possess muzzle extensions that are permanently attached (two holes drilled through the muzzle extension and tig welded into the threads). A muzzle extension or muzzle brake must be permanently attached to all D-Technik rifles to avoid an illegal SBR (short barrel rifle). The ATF Technology Branch has determined that this muzzle brake is not a flash hider.
The muzzle brake has 14x1 right hand thread. Its excellent design is very effective in reducing muzzle lift and perceived recoil. Muzzle brakes possess black oxide finish and may show minor scuff marks from shipping. Just to confirm, the vz.58 muzzle brake does not index tightly against the front sight base as it is not designed to do so. For this reason, the muzzle brake will exhibit a slight movement on the barrel threads. Muzzle device may need to be either rocksett or modifed on a lathe.
