.380 Auto:
As shown in the photo, each threaded upper receiver includes a knurled thread protector and receiver pin assembly (bolt assembly and cocking knobs not included). The threaded barrel is ½ x 28. If the threaded upper receiver is purchased that matches the caliber of the of the vz. 61 pistol, the original bolt assembly can be used with the upper receiver. Since the vz. 61 does not use a locking mechanism, headspace is not applicable.
If a person wants to convert their .9 mm Makarov vz. 61 pistol to a .380 Auto pistol, this can be accomplished successfully by purchasing the following: .380 Auto magazine, .380 Auto bolt assembly, and .380 Auto upper receiver. Purchasing these three items will convert your 9 mm Makarov pistol to a .380 Auto pistol.
Important Note: .380 Auto and 9 mm Makarov upper receivers will not function with 7.65 mm Browning lower receivers. Reason: the magazine well is different on 7.65 mm Browning lower receivers and .380 Auto and 9 mm Makarov magazines will not function in 7.65 mm Browning lower receivers.
